This wine pops from the glass with baked apple, hints of caramel, pineapple, honey and beeswax. There is an exotic flower element that mingles with stone fruit and toasted oak. It is lush and creamy with hints of clotted cream and delicate banana. In the mouth it is very balanced, with richness, density and viscosity, tamed by a strong acid base that grounds the wine and focuses it into a pleasing fresh and long finish. This is not a flabby Chardonnay, but an ager.
