Summer Shipping & Which shipping service to use
When temperatures across the US are above 70F, or extremely cold, there is a risk of wine spoilage. We do not recommend shipping Ground under these conditions. It is up to you to request a shipping hold if you select Ground during these conditions. The best way to ship during the summer is using FedEx Cold Chain Shipping. This service can take up to two weeks, but will keep your wine at cellar temperature from our door in California, to yours wherever you are. A faster alternative is to use UPS Next Day Air, or FedEx Priority Overnight. We provide the option to include an ice pack if there is a risk of high temperatures.
When will my order arrive?
All transit times are listed in the shipping options, but some things affect when we can initiate the shipment. There may be a delay of 2-3 business days before an order can ship due to inventory movements. If you have an urgent order, please contact us directly. We ship Monday - Thursday during the summer, and Monday - Friday during all other seasons. Cold Chain orders submitted by Friday will ship out the following Thursday.
